Privacy Policy

ezMD does not collect, send, or sell personal data. There are no accounts, analytics, crash reports, or ads. I do not have access to your files or how you use the app.

What stays on your Mac

• Your documents. ezMD reads and writes Markdown files only in folders you choose. macOS restricts access to these folders, and this permission lives only on your Mac.
• Your settings. The last folder you opened, your tabs, the interface language, and document snapshots used to show what changed are stored in a hidden app folder on your Mac.
• Your GitHub token. The personal access token you add is stored securely in your Mac's Keychain. It only ever goes to GitHub.

Network connections

If you connect a GitHub account, ezMD talks to api.github.com to list your repositories, read Markdown files, and save your changes. If you don't connect GitHub, the app never goes online.

This connection follows GitHub's privacy statement.

Purchases

Apple handles all payments. I never see your payment details. The app only asks macOS if you paid.

Deleting your data

Click disconnect in the app to remove your token from the Keychain. Then drag ezMD to the Trash and delete the ~/Library/Containers/com.peteryuchang.ezmd folder.

Children

ezMD is not targeted at children and does not collect data from anyone.

Any updates to this policy will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.

留在你 Mac 上的東西

• 你的文件。ezMD 只會讀寫你自己選的資料夾。macOS 的沙盒機制會限制軟體只能看你授權的地方，這個紀錄只存在你的 Mac 上。
• 你的設定。你上次開了哪個資料夾、哪些分頁、介面語言，還有用來比對修改差異的文件快照，都存在你電腦上的軟體專屬空間裡。
• 你的 GitHub token。你有連 GitHub 的話，貼進來的 token 會存在這台 Mac 的鑰匙圈。它只會發送給 GitHub，不會傳去別的地方。

唯一的網路連線

如果你有綁定 GitHub 帳號，ezMD 才會連線到 api.github.com 去抓 repo 清單、讀取 Markdown 檔並存檔。你不連 GitHub 的話，軟體就完全不連網。

付費購買

結帳流程都是 Apple 在處理。我拿不到你的信用卡或付款資料，軟體只會向 macOS 確認你有沒有買過。

刪除資料

在軟體裡解除綁定 GitHub，token 就會從鑰匙圈刪除。接著把 ezMD 丟進垃圾桶，再清掉 ~/Library/Containers/com.peteryuchang.ezmd 這個資料夾就好。

兒童

ezMD 不針對兒童設計，也不會收集任何人的資料。

如果以後規定有改，新的內容會放在這個網頁，並更新最上面的日期。

ezMD 不收集、不上传、不出售任何个人数据。无需注册，没有数据分析，没有崩溃报告，也没有广告。我无法获取你的文件，也不知道你是如何使用这款软件的。

保存在你 Mac 上的数据

• 你的文档。ezMD 仅读写你指定的文件夹。macOS 只授予软件访问你选中内容的权限，且该权限仅记录在你的 Mac 上。
• 你的设置。上次打开的文件夹、打开的标签页、界面语言，以及用于对比修改内容的文档快照，都存放在软件本地的沙盒目录下。
• 你的 GitHub token。如果绑定了 GitHub，你填写的 token 会存入 Mac 的钥匙串。它只会用于和 GitHub 通信，不会传给任何第三方。

仅有的一处网络连接

只有当你绑定 GitHub 账号时，ezMD 才会连接 api.github.com 来获取 repo 列表、读取 Markdown 文件并同步修改。如果不绑定 GitHub，软件完全不联网。

这部分数据交互受 GitHub 隐私声明 约束。

购买与支付

支付流程全部由 Apple 处理。我看不到你的支付信息，软件只会向系统查询你是否已经购买。

如何删除数据

在软件内断开 GitHub 连接，token 就会从钥匙串中移除。随后将 ezMD 移到废纸篓，并删除 ~/Library/Containers/com.peteryuchang.ezmd 文件夹。

儿童

ezMD 不是面向儿童设计的软件，也不收集任何人的信息。

政策更新

如果本政策有任何修改，新版本会直接更新在这个网址，并修改开头的日期。
